Introducing the Chinook Dragons

Introducing the Chinook Dragons

Last fall, our school community came together to choose a new mascot: the Chinook Dragons. Since then a committee of students and staff has been working on visualizing what the Chinook Dragon represents and looks like.

We heard that the dragons are brave, energetic, strong, kind and diverse. Prior to spring break, students shared ideas in an advisory lesson and created a bulletin board of ideas.

Today we are excited to share our new logo with our school community. Our colors remain the same, a bright red and black to honor our past and community. The dragon is fierce, with wings to soar and fire to protect.

In the next few days, you’ll begin to see our Chinook Dragon on our website, social media and letterhead. Next year we’ll proudly display it throughout our school campus and on our spiritwear.

Thank you to our committee members for their time in this process: Students Mahi Sharma and Khushnim Boyd, Office Manager Jennifer Hirayama, Bookkeeper Lesley Wagner,  Assistant Principal Tim  Depue, Success Dean Taylor Blue and teachers Evan Murphy and Bryston Nham.

Go Dragons!
